We aim to keep cookie use limited and proportionate to what is needed to operate, secure, and deliver the Site.

  • __cflb for load-balancer session affinity where that feature is enabled,
  • _cfuvid for certain rate-limiting configurations where that option is enabled.

Not every Cloudflare cookie described in Cloudflare documentation is necessarily active on this Site at all times. Actual cookies depend on the production configuration in use.

Performance / analytics

The Site uses Matomo for performance and audience measurement. It is self-hosted at help.ssdfast.com and loaded through a Cloudflare Worker, and it is the only analytics tool on the Site. Matomo runs as first-party analytics, so the measurement data is collected under our own domain rather than shared with a third-party advertising network.

At a high level, Matomo measures page views, device and viewport information, clicks, scroll depth, form submissions, and JavaScript errors, so we can understand how the Site is used, fix problems, and improve the calculator and content.

The cookie table below must be finalized from a real browser-based cookie scan of the deployed production build before publication, so that any Matomo or other first-party cookies actually observed on the live site are reflected accurately.

Functional / preference

The Site may use limited functional storage or preference-related technologies if needed to remember user choices such as cookie preferences or basic interface settings.

As of this draft, no separate preference-storage vendor has been confirmed from a live browser scan.

Targeting / advertising

We do not use cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are commonly used for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If advertising or targeting technologies are added in the future, this Cookie Policy and the privacy-choice mechanisms on the Site will be updated before or at the time those technologies are used.

Before publishing: replace or remove any row that is not actually observed on the deployed site, and add any confirmed first-party or third-party cookies found in the live scan.

Third-party cookies and embeds

The Site may include or rely on third-party functionality such as:

  • the embedded calculator application,
  • click-to-play third-party video segments,
  • hosting and security infrastructure,
  • and any future analytics or preference tools.

Third-party content or embeds may set cookies or similar technologies only when loaded or activated, depending on how the Site is configured.

For hosted video content, the Site should continue using the privacy-enhanced, click-to-play approach already specified for the build so that nothing is loaded from the video provider until the user clicks to play.

If a separate licensed provider, document platform, or future embedded service is introduced in a way that can place cookies through the Site, this Cookie Policy should be updated to describe that provider by role and explain the relevant cookie behavior.

How we use cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for limited purposes such as:
